DESCRIPTION:Participation on non-profit boards is a great way to build leadership experience and expertise outside of the office. These opportunities allow busy professionals to give back to causes that are important and fulfilling for them personally. Attendees at this workshop will hear from local Siouxland representatives\, who will provide insights\, advice\, and resources for making the most out of non-profit board participation. Additionally\, a panel of women who have been active on several Sioiuxland non-profit boards will share their experiences of obtaining board positions\, preparing to be successful board members\, and maximizing the benefits of involvement with non-profit boards and volunteer opportunities.
