(Sioux City) The Catholic School Foundation of the Diocese of Sioux City is pleased to announce Ennie Hickman as the keynote speaker for the 23rd Annual Bishop’s Dinner for Catholic Schools. This dinner will take place Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the Delta Hotels Center. The theme for this year’s dinner is “Set Your Faith on Fire!” For almost two decades, Ennie Hickman has been one of the most respected and sought-after ministry leaders in America. His raw and honest communication, a passion for following Jesus, and his simple and ancient approach to Christian living has aided God in transforming the lives of tens of thousands. A graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville, Hickman credits his foundation in faith to his parents who sent him to Catholic school, along with the teachers and coaches who cared for him uniquely and formed him in the way of discipleship. Hickman aims to follow Jesus’s commands to Love God and neighbor and accompany people in this beautiful, messy, life of joy. He and his wife, Cana, have seven children and reside in Texas. The Bishop’s Dinner for Catholic Schools serves as the single largest fundraiser benefiting 16 Catholic school systems throughout Northwest Iowa. More than 6,000 students receive a faith-based education every year with 100% of the proceeds from the dinner being distributed back to the schools in the form of educational enhancement grants. The 2018 Bishop’s Dinner raised over $200,000. Tickets to the dinner go on sale August 1 and can be purchased at www.scdiocese.org or by calling the Diocese of Sioux City at 712-255-7933. The sixteen Catholic school systems, located within the Diocese of Sioux City, are located in Algona, Alton, Boone, Carroll, Danbury, Denison, Emmetsburg, Fort Dodge, Humboldt, Le Mars, Pocahontas, Remsen, Sheldon, Sioux City, Spencer and Storm Lake. More than 6000+ students receive a faith-based education each year.
