The Automation Control Manager position at BPI is ideal for the candidate who is highly motivated and able to lead a team of technicians applying knowledge in control processes, mechanical processes along with robotics and automation.  Be part of the team challenging themselves to support and improve new and existing control systems for multiple fully automated freezer distribution centers located in South Sioux City, NE.
  • Identify, design, implement and lead various technical projects associated with automated industrial equipment such as conveyors, crane systems, palletizers, material handling equipment, control systems and utility systems.
  • Manage a team of electromechanical technicians responsible for the day-to-day operations.
  • Develop and implement strong and effective preventative maintenance programs.  This team is responsible for the reliability of all equipment and systems.
  • Develop extensive high level troubleshooting capabilities to provide tactical support for day-to-day operations.
  • Must have strong leadership skills with the ability to manage people, train and grow a team.  Ability to grow leaders.
  • Experience in robotics, PLC programming, automation and SCADA experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage people, priorities, schedules and timelines.
  • Self directed and motivated individual with high energy able to work with minimal supervision.
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal, and in written form.
