Job Description
  • Scans shipping and receiving records into electronic files system.  Accurately indexes and codes files and audits work to ensure that files are legible and all pages are scanned and accounted for.  May also file paper copies of documents.
  • Adds additional information to files and keeps files current.  Will provide information from electronic file system or provide hard copies of records as requested.
  • Will enter or record data into software programs, spreadsheets and other types of systems.  May be required to compare data, manipulate data, edit or proofread data for accuracy.
  • Will provide administrative support to department such as answering phone calls, generating labels, pulling files, copying and faxing documents and other miscellaneous administrative duties as required.
  • Verify and approve orders for shipping.  Audit pallet numbers scanned at freezer against sales order for accuracy of order.  Coordinate activities with freezer and management to correct discrepancies.
  • Process product returns back to inventory as needed for reasons such as overweight trucks, customer returns, incorrect product pulled.
  • Process inventory transfers to freezers.
  • Select pallets for sales orders to be shipped.  Verify availability and that pallets picked meet customer criteria based on sales order.
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing deadlines and priorities.
  • General computer knowledge and proficiency with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Accurate data entry skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly to all levels of employees as necessary in both verbal and written form.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Must have regular and punctual attendance.
