South Sioux City, NE - The Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA (NWSYMCA) is proud to announce that our CEO, Rhonda Robson, has been named Chair of the Small and Mid-Sized YMCAs (SMY) Board of Advisors, a national leadership position supporting YMCAs across the United States.
Rhonda’s appointment is a testament to her nearly 25 years of dedication to the YMCA Movement, including seven years of service as CEO of the NWSYMCA. Her leadership has been instrumental in advancing our mission to strengthen communities, nurture youth, and promote healthy living.
As Chair of the SMY Board of Advisors, Rhonda will work alongside YMCA leaders nationwide to advocate for small and mid-sized YMCAs, ensuring they have access to the resources, guidance, and partnerships needed to thrive. Her goal is to foster collaboration and provide tailored support to help YMCAs amplify their impact in their communities.
“It’s an honor to represent the Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA and serve in this new capacity,” said Robson. “I’m excited to work with fellow leaders to strengthen the entire YMCA movement and ensure all YMCAs, regardless of size, have the tools they need to make a difference in communities they serve.”
Under Rhonda’s leadership, the Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA has grown as a cornerstone of the Siouxland community, offering innovative programs and expanding its facilities to meet the evolving needs of families. This new role not only reflects her commitment to our Siouxland Y but also highlights her ability to drive positive change on a national scale.
