Location: Northeast Community College Zoom and Online
The course is offered Hybrid with 22 hours online and 23 hours Live Zoom
Cost: $550
Course Description: The medical interpreter course aims to prepare students for healthcare interpretation tests to be certified by providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively communicate in medical settings.
Course Length: 45 hours Course Delivery: Hybrid Virtual
Prerequisite: 18 years or older, Min. HS diploma or equivalent. Oral proficiency in English with approved test, Oral proficiency in target language (Spanish) with approved exam.
Assessment and Certification:
Participants will be evaluated through quizzes, practical exercises, and a final exam to ensure comprehension of the course material. Upon successful completion of the training program, participants will receive a certificate of completion and be eligible for Certification through the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters. https://www.certifiedmedicalinterpreters.org/
