Electromechanical Technician

Overview

You'll work hands-on with mechanical and electrical systems, supporting equipment installations, maintenance, and repairs that keep our systems and processes running efficiently. Responsibilities

Equipment Support & Maintenance

  • Assist with installations, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment.
  • Repair, service, adjust, and test equipment including:
    • Air systems and pneumatic equipment.
    • Electrical wiring and assemblies.
    • Production and material handling equipment.
    • Hardware and mechanical components.
  • Assemble and disassemble equipment while maintaining high maintenance and safety standards.
  • Assemble wires, electrical components, and install electrical assemblies.

Project Support

  • Assist with projects related to new equipment installations and test systems.
  • Support implementation of equipment and instrumentation for assigned projects.
  • Help with mechanical and process observations and fact-finding activities.
  • Communicate results and assist with recommendations for improvements.

Collaboration & Learning

  • Work effectively with team members and supervisors to complete tasks.
  • Collaborate with other employees to improve task execution.
  • Follow established procedures and safety protocols.
  • Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • May operate forklifts, hoists, and other heavy equipment.

Additional

  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends as needed.
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must have regular and punctual attendance.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read basic drawings, schematic diagrams, and electrical code.
  • Foundational electrical and electronic knowledge.
  • Basic mechanical experience with machine parts and equipment.
  • General knowledge of computers and software preferred.
  • Safe operation of hand and power tools.

Demonstrated Competencies

  • Analytical skills to assist with troubleshooting equipment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
  • Attention to detail and safety.
  • Team-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently when required.

Physical Requirements

  • This role requires physical activity including walking, standing, twisting, reaching, bending, climbing, and lifting.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 60 lbs.

Experience:  1+ year of related electrical and mechanical work experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (preferred). Entry-level candidates with strong technical aptitude will be considered.
Education:  2 year vocational/technical school in electrical or mechanical field (preferred). Relevant technical certifications or military training welcomed.
