South Sioux City, NE — New Stage Players is proud to present the Tony Award-winning musical Come From Away this June at the New Stage Performing Arts Center, 3201 Dakota Ave, South Sioux City, NE.

Based on the extraordinary true events following September 11, 2001, Come From Away tells the inspiring story of the small town of Gander, Newfoundland, which opened its heart to nearly 7,000 stranded airline passengers when 38 planes were unexpectedly diverted. In the midst of uncertainty and fear, a tiny community showed the world the power of kindness, unity, and hope.

Filled with soaring music, heartfelt storytelling, and unforgettable characters, Come From Away has become one of the most celebrated musicals of the modern era. Audiences across the globe have embraced its message of compassion and humanity.

The production features 12 talented local cast members who portray 84 different characters.

About New Stage Players
Celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, New Stage Players was founded by a grassroots volunteer effort of members of the local Siouxland theater community. Originally performing across the region, they found their home in South Sioux City and have performed there ever since. The company is still entirely volunteer-run and has grown to include programming for adults, children, and key initiatives like the Penguin Project.
